For those who remember what a landline phone looks like,you do remember the green and yellow company pickups that used to run a round the city fixing sone thing or the other.
Safaricom’s mother company Telcom Kenya was Kenya’s biggest monopoly only comparable to Kenya Power. What the big shots did not see then was that emerging technologies would soon render them not obsolete but totally out of business. The best course of action was to bury their heads in the sand.
Long story short, i can not remember the last time i made a call using a landline phone.
The digital migration is being blocked by the disgruntled mainstream
media. By mainstream i mean, Standard Group, Nation Media Group and SK
Macharia’s Royal Media Services.
This thing is a tsunami you just can not stop all you can do is adapt or die. Am no media expert but someone who has been in the industry long enough can explain better.
